FFEI has been helping students in India since 2003 in a small way. Since 2019, it has started helping students studying in premier institutes in India such as NITs, IITs, and reputed universities from all across India in various disciplines like engineering, medicine, law, social work, nursing, and research. We help students based on their social and economic status and the reputation of the institute they plan to study. Generally, the help will be in the form of an interest free loan payable when they settle into life. In certain situations, FFEI may award it as a free grant that need not be paid back. Steps to get aid:
- Student applies for help from our website. FFEI will scrutinize the application and correspond with the student. Someone from FFEI may call the student to understand more about his/her situation.
- Once selected, FFEI asks the student to fill in the funding request form. The student has to submit the form every time they need assistance.
- FFEI sends money directly to the institute or to the student.
- The student is supposed to send FFEI all receipts of payment and regular updates on the progress.
- If the student fails to submit required information in time, FFEI may stop helping him/her and may ask the student to pay the loan immediately.
- The student is supposed to pay the loan when they complete his/her education and start earning.
- If it is a grant, it need not be paid back.
- The student has to fill in the feedback form after each mail stone. Ex. When they first received the assistance, when they completed the course, when they settled down in the job etc. This will help us improve our service and be used for raising funds for future activities.
